About
Graduated from The Deck Department at Istanbul Beykoz Maritime Vocational High School, Hakan Çendik started his Maritime life in 1990. After his graduation he served as a Deck and Executive officer on Merchant ships. Çendik completed his undergraduate education at the Faculty of Maritime - Maritime Business and Managements department at The Dokuz Eylül University. Then received his Master's degree from Istanbul University's Institute of Marine Sciences - maritime Economics. Between 1997 and 2004, Çendik worked as a manager for Maritime and Ship ownership companies. In 2004, Çendik established Angora Shipping with the decision to set up his own business. With the investments made in 2004, the gained experiences and activities of ship-owners continue until today.
Hakan Çendik has worked for many non-governmental organizations in the maritime sector. Çendik conducts the substitute membership of The Chamber of maritime commence (IMEAK DTO) and is The board member of the Turkish Naval Education Foundation ( TÜDEV). He is also the founder member of the Turkish Ship Brokers Association (GBD) and the Association of Coaster Ship owners and Operators (KOSDER). Through the years Çendik was as a member of the board of directions, served as General Secretary and was the Vice- president of KOSDER. At the present time, Çendik acts as The Chairman of board for KOSDER.

She obtained academic degrees in law (LL.M.) and political sciences (MSc), after which she built a professional and varied career at The Confederation of Netherlands Industry and Employers (known as VNO-NCW) the leading Dutch umbrella organisation for all business sectors in the Netherlands.
For the Royal Association MKB-Nederland, an association to promote the interests of SME’s in the Netherlands, she held several significant positions. Koster gained much experience as lobbyist, and as managing director of the projects branch, she obtained extensive knowledge of the Dutch SME landscape in a wider international context.
As of March 2018, Koster was appointed managing director at the Royal Association of Netherlands Shipowners (Koninklijke Vereniging van Nederlandse Reders or KVNR in Dutch).

Born in 1992 in Istanbul, Begüm Birben received her master’s degree in Maritime Law from City, University of London after completing her undergraduate education at Istanbul Bilgi University Faculty of Law. Birben has been working at Unimarin Shipping for 7 years, where she is responsible for maritime managements and operations. In addition to being a member of the Istanbul Bar Association since 2016, she is also a member of the Turkish Shipowners' Association. She has been actively working as the Vice President of the Association of Turkish Coaster Shipowners and Operators (KOSDER) since May 2023.

Yusuf Yalçın Çapoğlu

Born in 1975 in Trabzon. Received his bachelor's degree in Maritime Faculty / Deck department of the Technical University of Istanbul (ITU) on 1998. Worked on board vessels containerships, mini bulker and bulk carriers, worldwide basis. As from 2002 mainly focused on cargo and ship brokering from coasters upto handymaxes including sale and purchases of related tonnages. For more than 10 years, he is active in shipping by chartering and managing ships under Kilyos Shipping Inc. Member of Turkish Shipbroker Association (GBD) and KOSDER. He is currently Vice President of the Association of Turkish Coaster Shipowners and Operators.
Neslihan Torlak Gönençer

About
Born in 1978, Neslihan Torlak Gönençer graduated from Istanbul St. Georg Austrian High School and completed her degree in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering at the Istanbul Technical University (İTÜ) in 2002. As the 5th generation of the Adnan Torlak family, she began her career at the family shipyards, Torgem and Dentaş Shipyards, following the family’s maritime activities from Rize to the Golden Horn in the 1940s and in Tuzla after the 1980s . After two-years in the family business, she joined MPC Marine, a company under MPC Holding in Hamburg before returning to Istanbul as Managing Director of Dentaş Shipyard in 2007.
In 2018, as the family shifted its focus from shipbuilding to shipowning, she became Vice Chairman of the Board at ATOMAR Shipping and Transportation Inc., the family’s shipowning company. In early 2024, she assumed the role of Managing Director at Atotech Maritime GmbH & Co. KG., a company established by the family in Hamburg to provide technical support and services to foreign ships arriving in Turkey. She has been General Secretary of KOSDER (Association of Turkish Coaster Shipowners and Operators) since May 2023 and is a member of the Turkish Shipowners' Association, TOBB Women Entrepreneurs Board, WISTA, and the Liebherr Hanseatic Shipowners Ski Club.

Nathan Habers (1986) is Head of Communications & Public Affairs at the Royal Association of Netherlands Shipowners (Known in Dutch as KVNR). He has been with the KVNR since 2016, shaping the branding and strategic positioning of the Dutch shipping industry. Nathan obtained academic degrees in Middle Eastern studies and international relations.

Cansel, born and raised in Enschede, The Netherlands, is a professional with a rich academic and career background. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Translation and Interpreting, an English Pedagogical Formation Certificate, and a Master’s degree in Communication Studies, with a specialization in Digital Marketing and Design. At Angora Shipping, an international broking and ship management company, Cansel plays a key role in the Chartering & Brokering department. Alongside her maritime expertise, she manages the company’s social media accounts as a Digital Marketing specialist, effectively blending digital strategies with industry knowledge. Cansel’s broad skill set in both maritime and digital marketing fields enables her to make a significant impact in each area. Beside a representative of Angora Shipping, she is also a member of KOSDER and takes part in the organising committee of SHIPROUTE.
Ümit Avcı

About
Ümit Avcı graduated from Istanbul University, Faculty of Communication, Department of Radio TV and Cinema. He did an internship at Anadolu Agency on desktop broadcasting.He worked as a program producer and director and broadcasting officer in national and international channels.He developed his experience in media and public relations positions in agencies and production companies and some commercial organizations. As of 2023, he has been working as a corporate communication specialist within KOSDER to contribute to the vision of the association.
Sedat Dumlu

About
Sedat Dumlu received his bachelor's degrees in Radio, TV and Cinema from Erciyes University and in Business Administration from Anadolu University. He then completed his master's degree at Marmara University Interpersonal Communication Program with a thesis on the wives and children of seafarers working overseas. Having worked in various positions in national and international media organizations, Dumlu has been working as Press Consultant and Administrative Affairs Supervisor at the Coaster Shipowners and Operators Association (KOSDER) since 2017. Dumlu also continues to work as the Chief Editorial Coordinator of Coaster Magazine published by KOSDER.
